LIVING SPACE

Situated upstairs, the large sitting room is the star attraction of Owl Cote: with its glass gable and 10 foot glass balcony giving year-round outstanding views over the sea.  A multi-fuel wood burning fire, together with ample comfortable seating, large flat screen television with Sky TV, DVD/CD/WiFi and a good selection of books and games are all there to add to your comfort and enjoyment.  All sympathetically refreshed for 2019 with beautiful furnishings, new carpets and repainted Owl Cote truly offers a restful and luxurious stay for you and your dogs!

KITCHEN

Opposite the living space,  is the fully equipped kitchen with everything available to comfortably cater for 8/10 guests.  Dishwasher, Fan Assisted oven, Fridge Freezer, Microwave, Bread maker and two built in wine chillers all make for relaxed and enjoyable entertaining.   The beautiful kitchen views stretch across the Galloway hills and beyond.

In-between the upper floor rooms, there is a cosy single bedroom, ideal for younger guests to enjoy star gazing from the velux window.  A wall mounted flat screen  is available for DVD’s.

 

DOWNSTAIRS

The Master Bedroom, with 6ft superking bed, has access to the secluded front patio garden, a perfect place to enjoy that wake-up coffee!  Plenty of good wardrobe and drawer space and Freeview TV. The ensuite bathroom, with bath, shower above, shaving point, ample large mirrors and lighting and access to the washing machine and tumble dryer.  The bathroom has underfloor heating.

The Twin bedroom, with ensuite shower room has a heated towel rail, shaving point and ample storage.  Freeview TV, underfloor bathroom heating, and ample bedroom storage all add to a restful visit.

The entrance hall is bright and spacious, with a downstairs loo with shaver point and vanity unit and a hall cupboard for keeping both beach and bracing walk wear!   The property is fully carpeted throughout with the exception of the kitchen and en-suite bathrooms.

OUTSIDE

The house sits in roughly ¾ acres of typical coastal garden. There is a fenced-off small pond with an interesting mixture of plants and wildlife. A useful outside storage shed measuring approximately 18’ x 12’ is available to guests to store bicycles. The secluded patio has comfortable garden furniture and a charcoal barbeque.

There is ample car parking within the property and additionally there is a large space (shared with Carrick Cottage) for an additional 3 cars. There is outside lighting between the front gate and front door.

The garden also has an additional raised upper deck non-slip surface seating area from which to enjoy the far reaching water views. On the top grassed area, there is a clothes drying rotary arm and a small fire pit.

INFORMATION

Short breaks are available September to April, with a minimum of 3 nights.  Preferred arrival day is Friday but other days are possible by request.  Other short period stays are available last minute and subject to availability.

Arrival is at 16.00 with departure at 10.30.

A 50% deposit is payable on reservation with the balance becoming due either 4 weeks prior to arrival or immediately if less than 4 weeks at point of booking.   Refunds will only be made if the property is re-let for the same booking period and for the same rental amount.  Lost house keys will be charged at £20.00 per set, deductable from the deposit.
